Michael Turley — Chief Executive Officer

As the owner of Wayfarer Nursery & Supply, Inc., Michael Turley is utilizing his 30 years of experience in the Turfgrass/Horticultural industry in Maryland and Virginia to the critical environmental issues in the region. Mike has intentionally sought to surround himself with creative and intelligent people who can develop and implement the novel techniques necessary for real change. His approach of applying proven agricultural principles to achieve the difficult goals of creating and restoring sustainable habitat is unique in the field.

Dr. Wes Johnson — Coastal Ecologist

Wes earned his Ph.D. in marine science from the University of South Carolina in 2005, studying estuarine ecology. Prior to entering the doctoral program at the USC, Wes operated a wetland plant nursery in Prince George’s county, MD, growing and propagating over 70 species of wetland plants native to the Mid-Atlantic region. This unique combination of scientific training and hands-on field experience makes Wes a valuable addition to our research and development program. His expertise will allow our company to focus on the specific objectives needed to improve our current operations and develop new habitat restoration technologies. Dr. Wes Johnson is on sabbatical from his responsibilities within Wayfarer Nursery & Supply, but remains as a key advisor.
