DescriptionZostera marina seeds are sorted to remove non-viable seeds. Viable seeds are individually coated in a sediment-derived pelleting matrix that is stabilized with a liquid binding agent.

Encapsulated Zostera marina seeds.
Advantages
- Improved handling over raw seeds

TOP: Untreated eelgrass seeds.
BOTTOM: Encapsulated seeds.
- Increased settling velocity (6X)

Settling velocities of raw and encapsulated seeds
- Improved germination rates

Germination rates of raw seeds (black bars) and encapsulated seeds (colored bars)
- Completely scalable
